What’s New???
Hello and happy 2008! Once
again another year has gotten away from us and there
are SO many memories to look back on in '07. I hope
everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's surrounded
by those you love. My holidays were quite the whirlwind!
I've literally been all over the country in the last
month. From Washington to Florida, and Alabama to
the Upper Peninsula of Michigan! I spent Christmas
down in Florida with my family and then had to book
it back to Nashville so I could load my gear and head
north to play a New Year's Eve gig in Michigan. Phew...
Now after we get back to Nashville on Sunday night
we'll get two days at home and then we're heading
to Mississippi to play at another casino, the Silver
Star. After that week I will have only been home for
about 3 cumulative days in the last month! That's
the road for ya...
My MySpace
profile has grown a LOT in the last year! I am steadily
approaching 3,000 friends! I can't say "thank
you" enough to all of you for keeping up with
me and the band, giving us your support, and coming
out to our shows night-after-night. You all make what
we do worthwhile and so rewarding, so again, thank
you very much. I hope to see each and everyone of
you again out there somewhere in '08.
There are a few new developments
in the works for me that I've only spoken of briefly
and loosely over the last few months. The reason for
the lack of info. on those subjects is because I like
to make sure things are for certain as to not get
anyone's hopes up! So, I'd like to get you up to speed
on these things now.
First, the duet.... I
sang a demo back in the summer that was written by
another artist by the name of Jesse Lee. A few months
later Jesse called me and said she would be re-recording
that song for her debut Atlantic Records album and
they were tossing around the idea of having me sing
on the record as well. Three weeks later I was scheduled
to go into the studio with Jesse and sing the song!
It turned out great and so far it's still supposed
to be included on her album. They still have a little
ways to go on finishing up her record, but will hopefully
get it done and put a single out later this year.
I will definitely let you know! In the meantime, stop
by Jesse's
MySpace page, check out her songs,
and send her a friend request. She is a very
talented artist and you're sure to see big things
out of her!
Last but not least, the record
deal... As some of you know, almost a year ago we
played down in Macon and WB Records came down to see
me and the guys play. They called right after they
left and said, "We want to offer you a record
deal." I had a hard time believing my ears! Well,
for reasons that I won't go into right now, it has
dragged out until it's almost been a whole year since
that show. It's been worth the wait though because
I would not only love to be at the WB, I'm flattered
to be in the company of so many great artists who
have made a name for themselves under that company.
So, after much anticipation and waiting, that deal
is almost finished and should be ready for me to sign
in just a few weeks! I couldn't ask for a better way
to start off the new year! I will keep you all updated
as everything happens...

letters out to you at least every other month, and
to send out small updates as they come in as well.
