I guess I was almost two weeks late on the last letter, so that explains it. What’s New???
All right, here we go. I’m proud to say my new shirts are now on the website and available for purchase! Please take a moment to stop by the site and check those out. I’ve got them in several different sizes, in men’s and a lady’s baby doll t-shirt. Hope you like!
So, I don’t know how many of you keep up with the Nashville Star show on the USA network, but I’ve got a funny story about the night of the season finale. Some friends and myself went to the show that night, which was really cool to see. We were also invited to the after-party at the Gibson factory inside the Opry Mills Mall, which is where the fun part takes place. We were at the front of the stage watching Jody Evans (a contestant) sing a song when I noticed front man Brett Michaels from Poison, and judge from the show, at the side of the stage saying hi to people. So I walked over, said hello, and asked if I could get up there and sing with the band. And then I asked if he would sing with me as well. Next thing you know I’m on stage with Brett Michaels and Two Foot Fred from Big and Rich singing “Keep Your Hands to Yourself”!!!!!!!!!! How cool is that? Definitely my highlight of the month! Supposedly a friend of mine was taking pictures, so if I can get my hands on some I’ll post them on the site.
That about does it for now. I’m actually on my way back from Kansas as I’m writing this. I did another show with Amy Chappell at a benefit for victims of domestic violence out there in Hutchinson, which was great! I’ll be flying back to Nashville in about two hours from now, but the fun doesn’t stop there. I’ve got two shoots for the t.v. show among other things, and then I have to pack it all up again to head to St. Charles and Kansas City, MO, for two weeks. Yee-haw! Hope to see you out and about at the shows.
P.S. I had to come back and add this little tidbit. While I was at the airport and already waiting in line at my gate, I had an airline employee approach me and ask me to pull out my guitar and sing a song for everyone. It kind of caught me off guard at first and I was hesitant, but I did it. I sang a song I wrote called “Love Life” and ended up with a few new fans and a $50 travel voucher for Southwest airlines! Can’t beat that, it’s like making fifty bucks every three minutes. I like it!
