What’s New???
Hey folks! I hope this newsletter finds you doing well. I'm typing this in the truck on the way back home from Augusta, GA. We just spent the weekend at Coyote's and had a great time. My friend Tyler played bass for us this weekend and got introduced to the honorary "Tsunami Shot" before we left last night! Dom got a video clip of it on his phone, so I'm gonna post that in a blog on my myspace page later tonight. Be sure to check it out when you get a sec...you'll get a good laugh! Thanks to the owner Vicki for setting that up, and for having us back again. We love some Coyote's!
So Thursday night we played a show at the fair down in Lawrenceburg, TN, and got to open for Emerson Drive again. That was our first time in that area, so we really appreciate everyone making us feel so welcome! Me and the guys had a blast. And honestly, because we only played an hour we wished we could've played longer. I guess we're so used to playing such long nights that a one hour show just flies by for us. Also, there were about 12 people from different departments of Warner Bros. that came down on a tour bus to see the show, so that was pretty exciting. Besides the A & R staff and a few others, no one else had gotten to see me and the band doing our thing before that night. We got great reports from all of them and they're all very excited for when we get a single out there they can work with. So am I!!!
Speaking of which, those first 5 songs we recorded are almost completely mixed , and we turned them in to the label last week. Everybody's loving them so far, and we will hopefully be going back into the studio during the fall to record some more. I'll keep you up to date on all of that as we go along. I can't wait for the day when I can finally tell all of you that I have a single coming out on the radio! It's coming very soon though, I just have to try to contain myself until then, lol.
Other than being in and out of the studio, writing, and the usual traveling, there hasn't been much else going on really. But everything's going great, and I can't tell you how blessed I feel to have the opportunities I've had so far in my career, and the ones that are in the works. So far this year I've opened shows for Sara Evans, Jo Dee Messina, Emerson Drive, Blake Shelton and Craig Morgan. I've played a lot of the stages that they played on their way up the charts throughout the years. And every now and then when I'm beat down and tired from being gone so much, or feeling impatient about things, this feeling sneaks up on me and this little voice in my head says, "Wow, this is really starting to happen!" Sometimes I can't believe it, but it really is happening! Words can't express how excited I am about it all, nor can they tell you how thankful I am for all of you supporting me and the guys dreams coming true. We appreciate you all so much, and I can't wait to sing for you again soon. 'Til then, take care and keep in touch...

Much love,
Jason
