What’s New???
Hey everybody, here’s another friendly update from JasonJonesMusic.com! I apologize for being so late this month, but I had a lot going on at the end of August and I wanted to wait to get all the new e-mail addresses on the list. So, where do I start? How about the usual like, I did a lot of writing in August and have a few cool new songs. I also wrote with some new co-writers who I think I hit it off with and will be writing more together in the future.
I had the opportunity to meet with two more record labels last month as well. Both meetings went well and there will be a second and hopefully third meeting and so on. This whole process is really a lot like interviewing with an employer for a job you want, or rather a job you really want! Sometimes it takes a meeting to get the job and other times it takes several. It’s usually several in the music business.
I played up in Kansas City again last month and had an awesome time! They said their “numbers” were real high while we were there, and that reflects high upon myself and the band. I swear that place gets cooler and cooler each time we play there! Missouri definitely has some great country music fans.
I also played the Wildhorse, Judge Bean’s BBQ, and a benefit for a church outside of St. Louis in August. The most exciting though would have to be the gig for GAC. Me and the band played the wedding reception for the wedding give away GAC held over the last couple months. It was a great time! Congratulations to Aaron and Lynette Landis (the couple who won the wedding) on their new vows. They’re a great couple and are more than deserving of their prize. We may or may not get some airtime on the show when it airs, but if you’d like to see it I believe it will be on t.v. September 16, so check it out!
Anyhow, I’m gonna run for now. I hope everyone is having a great summer. I can’t believe it’s almost fall again. Where did summer go? Oh well, there’s always next year. I hope to see you soon. Remember to say a lot of prayers for our neighbors down in the south. Take care!
