What’s New???
Hello! Hope this newsletter finds everyone doing well.
I find it hard to believe it’s already October.
I’ve got a birthday this month along with about
20 other people I know. And if you want to ask how
old I am, feel free. But the answer is going to be
35, and no that’s not really how old I am! I
just always say that. Lol.
Last month was a good month. I mentioned all the weddings
I was playing at in my last letter. The GAC wedding
broadcast did give us a snippet of airtime, which
is better than none. Did anyone get to see it? I didn’t.
I think I was on the road when it aired. I heard from
the bride that she saw us on there, and that they’re
doing great. The second wedding in K.C. was a breeze;
just one song in the wedding and the same song at
the reception. That one was for some friends. The
last one was cool too, but a little different. I shared
the three-hour performance with fellow singer/songwriter,
Amy
Chappell. There was no first dance,
no father/daughter dance, nothing. We were meant to
be background music only, and that’s what we
were. We weren’t even under the tent! Probably
about 20 yards or so away by ourselves. It seemed
kind of funny to me, but we still had a good time
and the bride and groom seemed to enjoy their reception.
I also recorded five new songs at the beginning of
the month. It was my first session that I got to produce
on my own, so I was real excited. I borrowed the talents
of some of my favorite musicians in town who I’ve
worked with in the past. They all did an awesome job,
along with the engineer who tracked and mixed. The
songs all turned out great and I’m adding a
few of them to the set list. Fun, fun, fun!
The only other thing I can think of to tell you is
that I’m doing a show tomorrow night and next
Friday night at Bullseye’s Bar & Grill.
There are going to be some folks from record labels
and management out to have a look, so keep your fingers
crossed for me and say a couple of prayers too! I’ll
keep you updated as to what happens with it all. Either
way I’m just pumped to have the opportunity.
Alright, I’m gonna sign off for now. Thanks
so much for all your support this last year or two,
and for just being my fans! I hope to see you soon.
Jason
